Daisy Days BOM

I'm doing the Daisy Days BOM . . . check it out here The Blog and here Flikr Group.  Also, there is a side button on my blog.  I'm using the floss colors that Jenny of Elefantz (the designer) picked out.  I'm all about the embroidery.  I'll pick out the fabrics to complete the wall hanging later on.

This BOM runs until the end of the year.  It's not to late.  Check out the links and get in on all the the fun.

Embroidery Art

     From now through the end of the year, every Wednesday, I am going to showcase my embroidery designs.  Some of the items featured here will be new things that I am currently working on for a display to be shown at the library in October, and some of the items featured here will be things from the past.  Every week I will feature something new.

An Artist's Rendition

There is a two story red brick building downtown that sits on a prominent corner and for years has been painted bright red.  Who knows why someone would do something like this to a red brick building but they did.  The new owners decided that they wanted to turn it back to brick, but you know how paint can stick to natural surfaces and destroy them.  Paint is not easily removed.  So the owner had a painter with an artistic bent come in and remedy the problem.  He "painted" the bricks to look like bricks.  He also "aged" the limestone to reflect the age of the bricks.  He did this with paint, too.

Check this out. . . I was very impressed.

Here is a pic of the entire building and what it looks like from a distance.  Very impressive.  Who knew you could do this with paint.  The painter did this entire building.  Excellent job!
